It’s time to dust off those loudspeakers, pull on those spangling party pants and pour ourselves a glass of that marvellous imaginary champagne! It’s time for a triple celebration. You heard me correctly, TRIPLE!

6000 followers Leo

Thanks, Leo!

Firstly, I am celebrating yet another WordPress milestone – The big 6000 followers! (Okay, okay…perhaps I’m a little late in celebrating this one!) But reaching this awesome milestone has got me thinking about my blogging journey so far. A few days ago I looked back on some of my first posts. Admittedly some of them were quite cringe-worthy, but it was during this trip down ‘blogging’ lane when it suddenly dawned on me just how far I have come! I’m not just speaking about followers, but the realisation that I was in a pretty crappy place 10 months ago. Through writing and the support of you guys, I feel like I am now travelling in the right direction.

And cue the emotional speech…

I would like to take this opportunity to thank EVERY one of my beautiful, wonderful, creative and amazing followers! Thank you for putting up with me, inspiring me and keeping me entertained on these long boring, husbandless evenings! A huge thank you to all of you who continuously shower me with your support. You know who you are! As I have said before, my blog wouldn’t be the same without you!

Without you guys, I’d be doing a Dawson!

It’s that time of year again. I’ve clocked up another digit on the life-o-metre! That’s right! It’s my BIRTHDAY (and I’ll cry if I want to!) As I travel from mid(ish) twenties, to – dare I say it – late twenties, I sigh deeply and think to myself “Is it me, or am I getting old?!”

you know youre getting old when

Okay, Okay….so maybe I’m not THAT old. As they say, “You’re only as old as you feel”…and I still feel like a teenager.

Who am I trying to kid? I don’t feel like a teenager at all. I hate noisy bars, I’m always forgetting people’s names and most nights I’m in bed before 9.00pm! But granny slippers aside, how can I possibly be sad when I am in the process of packing my suitcase to go to Switzerland?

In a few days, I’ll be flying (solo) to meet him in Geneva. According to my husband, Geneva – although beautiful – is dull with a capital D! You see one beautiful mountain, you’ve seen them all. And there is only so much Toblerone one can eat! Not too mention how expensive that place is…my husband has been living on tin soup (of the cheaper variety) for the past 3 months!

Unsurprisingly, we are considering ditching the overpriced Toblerone and trams for garlic garlands and errrr …bicycles?! …or in other words, we will be heading over to France. But while I am in Geneva, I’ll dust my camera of its cobwebs and take some snaps! With scenery so breathtaking, it would be a crime not to! Just looking at those beautiful mountains makes me want to run freely through the rolling hills, arms wide open, singing “The hills are aliiiiiiiiive…”. Okay, I’ll stop now.

I’ll tell you all about it when I’m back.

But for now, lets crank up the music, guzzle down the champers and boogie on down to this party classic!

Until next time, Party people! xxx
